Lip pigmentation and permanent lipstick offer a long-lasting solution for those who want to avoid the hassle of traditional lip makeup. These procedures can help restore lost lip color and shape, correct asymmetries, and enhance fullness for a more youthful and confident smile. Results can last up to five years, depending on the procedure type, skin type, and post-procedure care. However, there are certain contraindications and pre-procedure care instructions to consider, such as avoiding certain medications and products, as well as obtaining a doctor's note for certain health conditions. It is also recommended to schedule appointments according to menstrual cycles for increased comfort.
Results last anywhere from 1 – 5 years, depending on type of procedure, your skin type and your health. Your post-procedure care is also important for lasting pigmentation.
The average time for a touch up is 1 – 3 years.
